At O.W. Investors subsidiary Mars Inc, I spearheaded a modernization initiative, upgrading the core service stack through virtualization and containerization. Windows Server hosts were migrated into QEMU virtual machines, and .NET services were redeployed in contianers using Podman. I architected a bespoke monitoring solution using Prometheus and Grafana, implementing enhanced insights into service availability during the migration. I led post-migration efforts to educate team members on the use and maintenaince of Redhat Linux systems.
I elevated service availability from 99.7% to 99.95% over six months, demonstrating my ability to enhance system resilience and operational excellence. The migration to scalable Podman deployments, coupled with hardware infrastructure upgrades, significantly increased fault tolerance and performance.
